AstroShader Limited (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data in relation to our iOS camera applications AstroShader and MacroShader (“the App(s)”) and our website (“the Site”).
AstroShader is based in the United Kingdom and aims to comply with all relevant data protection laws locally and internationally, including; the UK Data Protection Act (DPA), UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and applicable privacy laws in other regions such as the United States (e.g. CCPA).
The App(s) (General Use)
The App runs locally on your device.
Does not collect or transmit your images, videos, or other data.
Does not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking tools.
Crash Reporting
If you have opted in to share crash data with developers via Apple’s iOS settings, crash reports (which may include device information, app version, and usage context at the time of the crash) are shared with us through Apple’s system.
We do not have access to any personally identifying information in these reports.
Beta Testing (TestFlight)
If you sign up for our beta testing program via Apple TestFlight, crash reports and feedback you choose to provide are shared with us.
Your email address may be visible to us as part of TestFlight administration.
Your email address is processed in compliance with the UK DPA. It is only used for managing beta participation and never leaves Apple’s TestFlight system.
The Site (Google Sites)
Our Site is hosted on Google Sites, a service provided by Google LLC.
We ourselves do not place cookies, track users, or collect personal data through the Site.
However, Google may use cookies, analytics, and other tracking technologies when you visit our Site, in line with Google’s own policies. These may include functional cookies, performance monitoring, and usage analytics.
Any data collected in this way is managed by Google and subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
We do not access, control, or store any such data.
Apple may process data (e.g., App Store, iOS crash reporting, TestFlight). These are subject to Apple’s own Privacy Policy.
We do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, or objection to processing. However, since we generally do not collect or store personal data, these rights are rarely applicable in practice.
For TestFlight beta users: you can request removal from the program at any time through Apple.
We do not transfer or process personal data internationally. All TestFlight participation data remains within Apple’s systems.
Our App and Site do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and the effective date will be updated accordingly.
